Disney Picks up Four IAAPA Awards

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions(IAAPA) has given Disney four Brass Ring Awards for immersive products and atmosphere entertainment.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge won three Brass Ring Awards for experiential merchandise items found in Batuu.

star-wars-galaxys-edge-savis-lightsabers — Best Hard Good Item: The personalized lightsabers created by guests at Savi’s Workshop – The experience is guided by ancient wisdom, yet created by the choices guests make before igniting the sabers with a kyber crystal.

star-wars-galaxys-edge-droid-parts — Best Visual Merchandising: The custom astromech units are built by guests at the Droid Depot that are capable of interacting with the land.

star-wars-galaxys-edge-porg — Best Plush: The Porg was recognized not only for the item itself, but also for the experience guests have when choosing their very own Porg at the Creature Stall.

The Green Army Man Drum Corps stand, ready to play, in front of Woody and the Toy Story Land sign — The Green Army Drum Corps marching through Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios received the Brass Ring Award for Best Atmosphere in the Live Entertainment category.
