Geyser Point Bar and Grill is located at the Wilderness Lodge Resort at Disney World and more specifically is part of the Magic Kingdom resort area. All cards on the table, we’ve eaten many times now and needless to say we do enjoy it and it’s definitely a place we love more each time we visit. In this review we will discuss our likes and dislikes of Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and provide a bit of guidance to help you on your trip planning.
For starters we absolutely love the Wilderness Lodge Resort and Geyser Point is a fantastic perk of staying here as it is everything that you want from a good quick service location: simple, flavorful food at decent prices and to top it off it has one of the best atmospheres you will find on all of Disney World Property.

General Information About Geyser Point Bar & Grill
Geyser Point Bar & Grill opened on April 26, 2007 and initially featured a menu full of grilled specialties such as Pulled Pork sandwiches and St Louis Style Ribs plus southern classics like Fried Catfish and Collards along with mouthwatering desserts like Cheesecake.
Since then they have introduced many new items to the menu but since the reopening from COVID the menu items have been pared down compared to what has been offered in the past but we expect some menu items being added to the menu soon now that things have opened back up.
One of the biggest obstacles that prevents some people from visiting Geyser Point is the pure logistics of getting there; it can be difficult to find. However, it should not deter anyone because the food and location are both fantastic and deserving of more guests!
If you aren’t staying at Wilderness Lodge and happen to be coming from a different Disney Resort or staying off property, either take the bus or monorail to magic kingdom. From there you can get on the Wilderness Lodge bus, or you can take our favorite mode of Disney transportation over which is the boat.
The boat ride to the Wilderness Lodge is a relaxing way to travel and if you have small children like we do the nice perk of the boat is that you don’t have to fold up your stroller when you get on.
Although this is a quick service (meaning no reservations are necessary) and it’s located at Wilderness Lodge in the Magic Kingdom resort area, Geyser Point Bar and Grill is well worth visiting if you find yourself on Main Street U.S.A., hungry from a half-day of walking around, or needing to regroup after an unpleasant experience.
Quick Service But It Feels Like Table Service
Geyser Point has more than one type of service – you can sit down and dine or you can order through the quick service window and take it back to your room, eat out in one of the chairs along the lake or take it by the pool and relax.
If you wish to dine in and eat you can either check in with the hostess to put your name in or you can now put your name in through the My Disney Experience app if you are on location. Either way they will give you a wait time you can return to be seated. If you choose to use the app you can choose to either have them send you a text message or notify you through the app when your table is ready.
Waiting for a table here is not really a chore as it gives you time to walk around the beautiful resort, take in the scenery and just chill out.
Not Patient? Then Geyser Point Mobile Ordering Is The Way
One of the benefits of the reopening is that guests can now order food at more restaurants using Disney’s mobile ordering service.
Geyser Point recently joined the growing list of restaurants you can use Mobile Ordering at. So if there are no seats currently available and you don’t want to wait for one, you can place orders and eat outside by the World Showcase Lagoon or wherever you want!
And if there’s a resort where you can find the perfect place to sit and eat, it is the Wilderness Lodge.
Geyser Point Atmosphere
The atmosphere and feel of Geyser Point Bar and Grill is just fantastic. The restaurant set more away from the main building and hotel rooms of the lodge and what makes it so unique is that it sets right on the edge of The Seven Seas Lagoon. The way it’s laid out and it’s location give it a feel like no other Quick Service Restaurant on Disney Property.
Seating
A perk of Geyser Point is that there are different types of seating available as you have your traditional tables and chairs, the center bar area where you can sit and grab a drink & food to watch a game and there are also lounge chairs & couches with center coffee like tables.
We have eaten here both at the tables and at the lounge seats. If I am going to a meal, I prefer to sit at the regular tables, whereas if I was there for drinks and appetizers, then it’s more comfortable sitting in one of the lounge areas.
One of the aspects I enjoy most about Geyser Point Bar and Grill is the open-air setting. There’s a roof overhead, but 3/4ths of it have no walls with nothing to obstruct your view.
The walls of this place can come down in order to protect it from inclement weather, and we have only been there in nice weather so I don’t know how well they do that.
It’s not a large restaurant so there isn’t a ton of seating area so the downside is there can be a decent wait time to get a table. It’s not uncommon for it to be 45 min plus to wait for a table.
Because of this again, if you are on a time constrained schedule you’ll find the walk up window is your best choice but if you have the time we highly recommend waiting for a table to really take in all the lovely aspects of Geyser Point to get the full experience.
Geyser Point Menu
The Geyser Point menu has a variety of well-rounded options that are hard to find at many quick service restaurants. It’s such a unique place because it’s technically a quick service restaurant but we aren’t kidding when we say it feels like a table service dining experience due to the atmosphere, food quality and service.
Since reopening from COVID the menu available is just the lounge menu but if you have a trip coming up or are on property now it’s always a good idea to check the menu to see if they have added anything (this happens more often than you would think).

Geyser Point Bar And Grill Review
Now comes the part of the review you really care about… how is the food at Geyser Point Bar and Grill?
Below we will talk about the food we have had at Geyser Point and what we thought about it.
Bison Cheeseburger with Marionberry BBQ Sauce
This is by far the best quick service burger on all of Disney Property! It’s a better burger than you will even find at some of the Table Service Restaurants at Disney. It’s juicy, full of flavor and the waffle fries that it is served with are crispy and some of the best fries on Disney World property also. I’m usually not much of a fan of things other than mayo on my burgers but I thought the Marionberry BBQ Sauce really added some nice flavor to the already great Bison Cheeseburger.
There isn’t many things I would rather do at Disney than sit at Geyser Point on a nice evening, have a Bison Cheeseburger and a Blue Moon. If you haven’t tried this then in my opinion you are truly missing out!
Smoked Turkey Sandwich
Normally I would always just got with the Bison Burger as that is my absolute favorite thing here but for the sake of trying new things for you guys I tried the turkey sandwich.
The turkey was excellent and cooked just right. So tender that it made the sandwich easy to eat- which is saying a lot on a vacation when you are usually excited to see what feels like home cooking. To be honest, I ordered this sandwich simply because of the cranberry mayonnaise––I adore sauces and condiments––and it added an extra touch of flavor that was distinctive from your run-of-the-mill turkey sandwich.
For a turkey sandwich it was fantastic and had amazing flavor. They do have a gluten free option for this sandwich if you are needing it to be gluten free as well.
Crispy Chicken Sandwich
The Crispy Chicken Sandwich isn’t currently on the menu, but I hope it returns soon so I will mention it still as part of the review. My simple review of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich: It’s delicious. I would love for this to come back to the menu soon as I would get it again and outside of the Bison Burger this is probably my next favorite item at Geyser Point.
Cheesy BBQ Brisket w/ House Made Fries
This is an appetizer but can easily be a meal for someone and at $11 is a solid price (at Disney at least lol). Personally I’m a big fan of brisket and this dish won’t win any BBQ Festival awards, it is a tasty dish that has good flavor and the house made chips are great for dipping with the brisket. As far as BBQ at Disney goes, it’s no Polite Pig but it is better than Flame Tree over at Animal Kingdom in my opinion.
Geyser Point Drinks Menu
We also really like Geyser Point’s drink menu, they have some delicious drinks. Geyser Point also has a great beer menu, so much in fact if there was any place to go on property to find your favorite kind of beer I would say Geyser Point is the place to go. As far as beer goes my go to is always Blue Moon so I tend to get that. Most of the beers they serve are bottled and the beers they have on draft are:
- Bud Light Lager
- Rogue Dead Guy Ale
- Elysian Space Dust IPA
- Elysian Dragonstooth Stout
As far as mixed drinks go Geyser Point has a great selection of those as well with over 14 drinks to choose from. Jamie (my wife) is not a big drinker but she loved the Banana Cabana as it was sweet but also had a bit of a kick to it. This drink is made from Cruzan Mango Rum, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Bols Crème de Banana, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice with a float of Grenadine. Highly recommend it.
They also have a small wine selection to choose from but we aren’t really wine drinkers so we have yet to have any here and honestly I wouldn’t be able to tell you what is a good wine and what isn’t.
Final Thoughts on Geyser Point
If you’re looking for a great quick service restaurant at Disney World, look no further than Geyser Point Bar and Grill. It has fantastic food, an awesome atmosphere and prices that won’t break the bank; it’s one of our favorite places to eat at on Disney property! We hope this review inspires you to visit Geyser Point Bar and Grill (seriously you need to try the Bison Cheeseburger) soon so your family can experience one of the best dining locations in all of Walt Disney World.
